A personal documentary photography project starring my kids Olivia age 3 and Noah Age 7, Stanstead Abbotts, Hertfordshire

Wow, as a parent I can say that this is tough and I know I’m not alone. My work as a wedding and events photographer always gave me a welcome balance and suddenly it stopped! Add to that the fact that there is literally nowhere to go at the weekends and yikes, recipe for disaster. Having said that we are slowly getting through it, positivity and coffee helps a lot . Last weekend I reached for my camera and decided to snap away documenting a typical weekend in lockdown in my house. My kids are very used to having a camera pointed at them so they were happy to pose and ignore me in equal measures. I must say it, I loved it, shooting and editing again helped me feel productive and connected to my work again, I have so many more ideas and I hope to carry them out as lockdown carries us through to better days, us photographers are fortunate that we can tell stories even in the murkiest of times with our cameras and I will forever be grateful for that……
