Top 3 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS WHEN HIRING A LONDON EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER..........
1. "I really like your highlights portfolio but can I see a whole gallery from a recent event you have photographed?"
ABSOLUTELY! In fact, I encourage all my prospective clients to view how I cover an event from start to finish.
The reason is quite simple, it shows how adaptable I can be, how I work, and how I can handle different lighting situations at your event. I constantly shoot in natural and ambient light which can be a challenge, especially at evening events.
Fortunately with over 12 years of experience and the best camera equipment (my trusty Canon R6 bodies) I can say I always deliver the best results in any lighting situation.
I also have a Godox flash ready to fire at any moment!
2. "How many hours coverage do you provide and how many images can I expect to receive?"
It very much depends on the type of event you are planning. For a long corporate event where you need certain things photographed, I can cover as many hours as you need.
For private parties I normally find that 2-3 hours is more than enough to cover everything. Having said that if you prefer to have coverage for longer, I am very flexible with my time.
After editing your event and delivering a finished gallery, it's quite hard to put a definitive number on how many finished images will be presented, again it depends on how much 'content' is going on at your event.
I normally deliver around 60-80 edited images per hour of coverage to give you an overall idea.
3. "What is your turnaround time on delivery of images after an event and how can I get access to them?"
Depending on how busy I am I can normally deliver a gallery within a few days of the event. I always encourage my clients to let me know if the photography needs to be delivered urgently. Next day requirements are always pretty much good as long as I know in advance of your expectations.
If I do have a high volume of images to edit, I will always deliver a selection next day for PR and social media requirements as I know most events need to happen in real time pretty instantly.
Once your images are ready for viewing, I deliver a Pixieset gallery link where you can view, share and download all your high resolution images instantly. Clients love this option as images are presented chronologically and viewer friendly to really showcase your event photography.
London has a fantastic choice of great events spaces and throughout my photography career, I have been lucky enough to cover a host of prestigious events.
Of course I have a few favourites as the interiors are pretty special and any London event
is always complemented by its setting.
