2024 was a massive year for me and my events photography work, I had the absolute honour of shooting events in a wealth of fabulous venues in and around London. Venues included The Dorchester, The Reform Club, Annabels and Malt bar in South London. I continued my work for Harpers Bazaar magazine and the Academy of Film and also gained a few new clients including Loftus Media and Country Life magazine. Armed with my brand new Canon Lens and R6 camera body, both of which are great in low light, I captured parties all over London and the UK.

As a documentary events photographer in London and the UK, I pride myself in capturing personality and fun in all my party images, photography I find is more to do with how you see things, than what you see. I know its cliche, but a great events photographer will always have an ‘eye’ for what makes a great photo. London events are often fast moving and you need to think on your feet and always be aware of what is taking place within the party.

Always the most important thing I consider whenever I arrive at an event, how low is the lighting. I work a lot with ambient light which means I rarely use my flashgun (I just prefer it that way) but this is often a major hurdle when it comes to evening events. Practise makes perfect, I have learnt to work with my camera settings and always consider where the light is in the room setup. The best London events will always have a good lighting setup which can always transform an image and take it to the next level…
